Getting Back Into A Routine

Why does it feel so good to “get back into the swing of things” after a long holiday or break?

It’s partly because we thrive off our routines & structure, but also because it feels so good to “move forward” after taking a step back and resting.

Whether you’re starting to get back into a routine after the holidays, vacation or a long break you’ve had, we want you to use that momentum you now have to set yourself up for greater possibilities.

It’s not just about getting back to what you’re used to or what you’ve always done and it’s also NOT about adding more to your plate. Instead we encourage you to take note of how you are taking care of yourself.

See if there are any little tweaks you can make to be more intentional when it comes to giving yourself what you really need. Be sure that your schedule and routine invites creativity, time to be intentional and time to work on your goals.

What is it that you really want to do this year and how can you go towards it with excitement & a sense of exploration? Then take this new energy & momentum to set yourself up for greater possibilities!


What did we learn from taking a month long break from the podcast?

Here’s what Kristin learned:

  • It’s all optional. I don’t have to do any of it!

  • I am enough even without all the work I do or the money I make.

  • I choose to do it because I just want to (not to prove anything, not because it makes me “successful” or “good enough” or worthy in any way)

Here’s what Laura learned:

  • In order to show up in the world the way I want to, I HAVE to put my needs first. For me that means giving myself what I need first thing in the morning.

  • If I take care of myself first thing in the morning then I’m not rushing through the day till I get my “alone time” and I don’t have to look for others to give me what I need.

    • ex. possibility, brighten, strengthen, expand
